Job Description

The Instructional Designer will work with all academic units and improve the institution’s technology presence and impact through WebStudy, its learning management system; and will help faculty develop their face-to-face and online course content, including instructional modules, syllabi, course interactions, multimedia interactions for courses, and presentations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Work with faculty to develop materials for face-to-face classes through WebStudy.
2. Train faculty on using WebStudy.
3. Work with faculty on course development to incorporate appropriate learning technologies in the face-to-face environment.
4. Develop and lead professional development workshops for faculty and staff to develop their technology skills.
5. Coordinate with the Library staff to ensure electronic library resources and information is implemented into face-to-face classes.
6. Assist online and hybrid faculty as needed with training and support.
7. Provide technical support to faculty and students, as needed.
8. Comply with all safety, fire and smoking regulations.
9. Complete all mandatory compliance and safety training as scheduled by Human Resources.
10. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Earned associate’s degree in instructional design, instructional technology, educational technology or related field.
2. Experience in working with students and faculty in an educational setting.
3. Demonstrated knowledge of Web content management systems (WebStudy preferred, from the end-user point of view).
4. Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills.
